At Paradox Ventures, we specialize in creating marketable consumer products. By utilizing state of the art 3D printing technology and equipment, as well as advanced post-treatment techniques, this allows us to produce the highest quality prototypes. Each design is extensively tested for strength and durability using physical and computer simulation before moving onto the DFM, tooling, and production phase.

We create a tangible prototype of each product so we can see how it looks,  feels, and functions before moving on to production.

The word prototype derives from the Greek πρωτότυπον prototypon, “primitive form”, neutral of πρωτότυπος prototypos, “original, primitive”, from πρῶτος protos, “first” and τύπος typos, “impression”.

Prototyping can be a broad term. There are a lot of variables that come into play during the prototyping process. From resolution and type of materials being used, to the type of advanced 3D printing techniques. Our team has the experience, understanding and passion for this stage in the development process.

Alpha Prototype

Our prototyping services are divided into three stages, the first is the Alpha. Made using a 3D printer, the purpose of this prototype is to get a general feel for the size, shape, form, and functionality of the product.

Beta Prototype

The Beta Prototype is going to be more refined in contrast to the Alpha Prototype. The purpose of this prototype is to further refine the form and function of the product before moving onto the final prototype.

“You don’t think your way to creative work. You work your way to creative thinking.”
George Nelson

“If you think good design is expensive, you should look at the cost of bad design.”

Ralf Speth

Final Prototype – This is the final stage of the prototyping process and where we combine all of the components of the product into one place.

During the final Prototyping stage, the product is made using final production materials. By utilizing our state of the art manufacturing facility, equipment, and advanced finishing techniques, we are able to produce a refined and fully functional product. This prototype will be used as the “golden sample” and segue into the manufacturing phase.
